When Angelie added Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village to their Taiwan itinerary, she didn't expect any proposal to happen there since it was a last-minute addition.
Angelie was completely mesmerized by the blooming sakura trees when they arrived at the village. In the middle of the village, the Sakura Park was celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary, making the atmosphere even more romantic.
Throughout their trip planning, Niño frequently mentioned Jiufen, leading Angelie to believe he would propose there. Meanwhile, she secretly hoped that if a proposal happened, it would be under a sakura tree.
What she thought was simple picture-taking turned out to be the proposal itself. With two Taiwanese couples sitting on nearby benches as witnesses, Niño got down on one knee.
All those conversations about Jiufen had been the perfect cover. Niño had always envisioned proposing under the sakura trees, never knowing it was exactly what Angelie had been dreaming of too.
Under the falling petals, surrounded by love and celebration, Angelie said yes to the proposal of her dreams.
